11:40 Panel Discussion – Representatives from local Recruitment Agencies will discuss and take questions on employment opportunities in the West of Ireland. Their focus will be on employability, job categories and specific skill sets that employers are seeking.
12:00- 14:00 One-to-one Career Consultations (booked on the day, can’t be booked in advance)
You can book a 15-minute one-to-one consultation on the day at the Connacht Hotel, on a first come first serve basis. A Career Counsellor will review your personal work and education history with you. They will help you identify your skills, abilities, interests, and explore a range of opportunities available. They can advise you of options that will help you achieve your goals.
Representatives from the Regional Skills Forum West, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board and NUI Galway will be available to discuss further education and support options for those who wish to return to further education and training. Additionally, representatives from Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) and the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP) will be available to discuss any queries on grants, funding and entitlements you may have.
