The StartUp Seminar for Pathways

The event will include speakers from enterprise support agencies, financial institutions and the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection who will explain the supports that currently exist for those who wish to become self-employed.

The event will also feature entrepreneurs with disabilities who will speak about their experiences (good and bad) in starting their own business and the lessons that others might learn from their journeys. The event will offer participants an opportunity to undertake a self-assessment of their business idea and reflect upon the advantages / disadvantages of starting their own business.

The ambition for the event is to increase the awareness of self-employment as a career option for people with disabilities and to highlight the pathway available to people who wish to pursue such a journey. The event is FREE and registration is available through the Eventbrite link.

The event is an initiative of the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan to 2020.
