Rapid Success for SME
Sonia Short, founder of Wrist Assured, sent me a lovely letter of thanks recently. Having completed her first Enterprise Ireland €5,000 innovation research voucher with National College of Art & Design in October,
Sonia is delighted to report her new product design is now patent pending. She has also reached agreement with an Irish manufacturer to make her product. Wrist Assured will have their first assisted living product on the market in early 2020 thanks to the innovation voucher programme and NCAD.
You may not be aware but NCAD delivers a wide range of services for clients who need design expertise. Our staff and students benefit tremendously through valuable knowledge exchanges but also from the real world teaching and learning opportunities. The funding helps too. Generally, our SME client innovation voucher projects are delivered in 4-6 weeks. Like Wrist Assured, some clients need product development help. This can include concept development, prototyping, materials R&D and design for manufacture. Other clients need brand identity, packaging and presentation design. There is also an emerging growth in thenumber of our clients requiring various forms of customer service journey design. Enterprise Ireland €5,000 and co-funded €5,000+ innovation research vouchers are a great way for SME’s like Wrist Assured to work with knowledge providers like NCAD. All you have to pay is the VAT.
For more information on the Enterprise Ireland innovation research voucher programme please check their website: www:enterpriseireland.ie So what are you waiting for? NCAD are the design specialists. My team at NCAD Origin8 would like to meet you to discuss your design needs. Don’t just take my word for it, ask Sonia Short and Wrist Assured where it can lead.
