Do you want to take control of your bookkeeping or need advice with the following: VAT, Budgeting, Business Documentation, Deductible Expenses, Depreciation and Capital Expenses, and Other Fundamentals of Bookkeeping. This free online course, delivered by a highly experienced Accounts & Bookkeeping professional, will be delivered over 8 weeks , through a combination of recorded lectures and live support sessions and will offer participants the opportunity to have specific concerns addressed.

Your Future.Your Skills. launching this week, is an innovative initiative with the purpose of recognising the skills and experience of those employed and recently unemployed in the Irish Hospitality Industry. Your Future.Your Skills is a collaborative project between lead partner Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board and Dublin and Dun Laoghaire ETB, Kilkenny and Carlow ETB and City and Guilds.The Global Certification allows those working in hospitality to gain a professional recognition for their skills and experience against an international benchmark, in the form of a digital badge.
Digital Badges are the latest technology in skills certification, they provide a secure way to showcase achievements online, through a single click.The Global Certification is fully funded by Solas. There is no cost to the applicant. Eileen Cullen, Area Training Manager for KWETB says ‘We recognise that the Hospitality sector has been significantly hit by the Covid-19 global health crisis. Many people are feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information around COVID-19 but for the one in six adults (521,000) with unmet literacy and numeracy needs in Ireland, it is more challenging. NALA is focussing on supporting these adults during this time with:
Freephone support line 1 800 20 20 65 to talk to adults about brushing up their reading, writing and digital skills. We also help with reading and understanding health information, particularly around COVID-19.
The public can also Freetext LEARN to 50050 and we will call them back.
We are open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm.
Distance learning service with tutors working with adults over the telephone to brush up on their literacy, numeracy or digital skills. It is free and confidential.
