Springboard and Skills to Advance Funded Courses to Upskill Employees
Springboard+ is managed by the Higher Education Authority on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills and is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.Springboard+, provides free college courses for people who are unemployed, returning to the workforce, self-employed and those in full time employment.
If you’re already working, you can also participate in a Springboard+ course – by paying a small fee: just 10 per cent of normal course fees or if the course is at Level 6 then 100% funding applies. Skills to Advance offers those at work the opportunity to upskill by registering for courses delivered by Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board. All courses are fully accredited up to and including Level 6 on the national framework qualification (NFQ). Employees can log onto LCETB and identify part time courses that will assist towards improving their skillset which will enable the learner to perform new work roles and job tasks.
