LEOs 'well positioned' to support businesses in their recovery

Local Enterprise Offices are now supporting more than 7,500 companies employing 35,000 people.

After what has been a challenging year for small businesses, the goal for 2021 is to support them in their recovery.

The network of offices helped support the creation of 5,585 jobs last year, although there was a net job loss of 1,494 among the portfolio of client companies.

LEOs helped thousands of business to move online or improve their existing online offering, which proved to be a vital resource for many businesses helping to reach their customers.

More than 13,000 Trading Online Vouchers were approved, up over 950% from 1,218 in 2019.
