Apprenticeship Employer Grant 2022

Following the announcement of the introduction of an annual grant of €2,000 for employers who employ apprentices in December 2021 by Minister Simon Harris, further information & instruction on this exciting initiative has now been announced.

The Apprenticeship Employer Grant provides financial support from the State to apprenticeship employers who employ apprentices on one of the 37 apprenticeships which have been established since 2016 and which do not attract payment of off-the-job training allowances. New apprenticeships introduced in 2022 and subsequent years will be included in the grant scheme.

A step by step plan is available for employers who wish to register apprentices in 2022 is included in the new guide.  If an employer already had an apprentice registered by 1st January 2022 on one of the eligible apprenticeships, the National Apprenticeship Office will be in touch with the employer in May/June 2022.
