The winners of the Generation Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2021 have been announced.  The overall winners were as follows:

Micro Enterprise - Bridget Haran Hair & Beauty

Small and Medium Enterprise - CalX Instrumentation Services / Carlow Toolmaking Services Ltd / The City Bin Co

Large Enterprise - Pfizer / BioMarin International Ltd / Takeda Ireland Ltd

The awards showcase the talent and energy of Ireland’s thriving apprenticeship employer sector. The 71 nominees, represent more than 37,000 employees, across three categories: micro companies; small and medium and large enterprises

Dr Mary-Liz Trant, Executive Director, SOLAS said “following a very challenging 20 months for everyone, we look forward to celebrating the resilience and vitality of these companies, and the critical role played by apprenticeship in the social and economic life of the country.

Well done to the 3 nominees from the North West Region - King & Moffat Electrical Ltd in Leitrim, Burns Meats in Sligo & Verus Metrology Partners also located in Sligo.   Warmly congratulating the nominees, Hilary McPartland, North West Regional Skills Forum Manager said ;Well done to all the nominees. Business development is a continuous process and in each of these companies we see the ongoing contribution of apprenticeship pathways in building value and nourishing skills.”

Over 6,500 employers in Ireland are currently using apprenticeships to recruit & develop their talent pipeline over a vast rage of sectors such as Sales, Healthcare, ICT, Construction & many more.
