Monitoring Ireland's Skills Supply 2021 - Annual Report16 December 2021
Now in it's 15th year of publication, the SOLAS Skills and Labour Market Research Unit (SLMRU) have compiled & produced the report; Monitoring Ireland's Skills Supply 2021.
The report is divided into 2 parts as follows:
- First section (1-12) examines the number of awards made to learners in Ireland's further and higher education & training system
- Second section (13 & 14) provides the existing skills profile of the adult population & recent graduates referring to data from Ireland's Labour Force Survey
125,700 awards were made across the FET & the higher education system in 2019, an increase of 2% from 2020 & up a further 13% from 2015. The report provides a breakdown of the awards by sector with comparisons for each from previous years.
The report also gives a detailed analysis of the skills profile of Ireland's adult population. As not all education & training graduates will enter the labour market due to a number of reasons, the report gives analysis of the education/training outputs by level & field & subsequent overview of how education & training in Ireland contributes to meeting the skills of the economy,
