Conference on jobs and skills in a circular economy on 2 - 3 June!
11 May 2021 Jobs and Skills for a Circular Economy: Transforming momentum into social value and local jobs in reuse, repair & recycling - 2nd and 3rd of June. Registration is now open!

The conference will be held in Hopin. You can register now here.
The organisers say: "We find there is huge momentum behind the green and social economy at the moment and with this event, want to explore how this can translate into reuse and repair jobs in Ireland. We are delighted that the Department of Education will present future skills needs and the circular economy".
There has never been a better time to avail of European and national policy and funding programmes to invest in green and social jobs. But how is all of this momentum translating into reuse, repair and recycling training and job opportunities on the ground? What are the barriers to developing these skills and jobs and reaping the economic, social and environmental benefits of a circular economy right across society? At this important free event, we will explore, with key policy makers and practitioners, how we can make the most of this policy and funding landscape to create real career opportunities in the transition to a more circular economy.
Facilitated by Cara Augustenborg, and featuring CRNI members Rediscovery Centre, BounceBack Recycling, RecycleIT, ReCreate, the European network RREUSE, the Nevin Economic Research Institute, the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management, the Departments of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, and of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and more, Jobs and Skills promises to be an engaging event to stimulate discussion and identify the next steps for jobs in the circular economy transition.
The event is supported by the EPA and Community Resources Network of Ireland. For more information, visit their website.
