Generation Apprenticeship - It is Employer of the year Awards time!
8 July 2021 Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2021

We are delighted to announce that entries are now open for the 2021 Generation Apprenticeship Employer of the Year. In years 1 and 2, the awards featured 82 large, SME and micro companies, corresponding to a workforce of over 50,000. The awards celebrate apprenticeship’s growing industries, their achievements and their resilience and innovation. This year, we have enhanced the awards structure so that they have a strong regional as well as national dimension. This comes from feedback at a number of partner workshops.
Why enter?
The 2020 awards received 140,893 impressions on the @apprenticesIrl Twitter account and was the top performing content across other social channels. The awards were widely promoted and supported via a number of mailers, trade, newspaper articles and by Ministers Simon Harris TD, Niall Collins TD, and other stakeholders.
The closing date for nominations is Wednesday 15th September 2021.
Structure
2021 has been another really challenging year for apprenticeship employers as the pandemic restrictions continued to affect businesses and livelihoods around the country. The 2021 Generation Apprenticeship Employer of the Year awards will recognise and celebrate employers who stand out for their resilience and their willingness to embrace innovation as part of their survival strategies over the past year, in particular as they supported their apprentices in-training.
The 2021 Employer of the Year awards is designed to operate in two stages:
Stage 1* is regional, among employers grouped within the nine Regional Skills areas. The regional winners will then go on to a national stage (Stage 2).
*Subject to the number of entries/nominations received.
