Haulage Strategy Webinar – 16 June 2021 - Save the date!
8 June 2021 The Minister of State for Transport, Hildegarde Naughton T.D., invites to participate in a webinar on the forthcoming ten-year strategy for the road haulage sector, taking place on the Wednesday 16 June 2021, from 10 am to 1pm.

The Department of Transport is working towards developing a ten-year strategy for the road haulage sector, in line with the Programme for Government. The Government’s aim is to develop a strategy that will focus on generating efficiencies and improving standards and helping the sector move to a low-carbon future.
Minister Naughton in April launched the first part of a two-phase public consultation to seek views towards the development of this strategy. As part of the first phase of this consultation, views or submissions are currently being sought from all interested parties, including the road haulage sector and other industry stakeholders involved in the wider logistics and supply chain sectors, as well as from academia, further education and the general public. The deadline for submissions is 2 July and we therefore hope that this webinar on 16 June will help to further generate thoughts and discussion in advance of stakeholders making submissions.
An agenda will be circulated shortly and will feature a number of presentations on topics including the decarbonisation challenge, the skills shortage, and views from a licensed haulage operator.
If you are interested in attending this even, please confirm this by sending an email to: haulagestrategy@transport.gov.ie . You will then be sent a link in advance of 16 June to join the event and that invite will issue from Zoom@transport.gov.ie
