12 October 2021 MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE NETWORK - 11th OCTOBER
The first meeting of the ME Working Group after the summer break took place earlier this week. Members were asked to answer questions in relation to the skills needs in the Western region. This information will be provided to the Higher Education Authority and it will influence the funding of courses through Springboard +.
Dr. Olivia McDermott from NUI Galway gave an overview of the planned research into non-medtech micro, small and medium companies in the West of Ireland. The group also discussed emerging technologies and how they would impact the manufacturing industry in Ireland.
