Marking the 1000th woman apprentice milestone in Ireland

elebration for a fantastic Ireland has reached an impressive milestone - over 1000 women apprentices are currently training in Ireland.
This is great progress from a figure of just 26 women apprentices in 2015.
We are starting to get things right for women of all ages and backgrounds. Some barriers remain but the pace of change is accelerating. We are also getting better in how we represent and communicate with women. Female representation in craft apprenticeship has doubled in the last two years and we are seeing firm footholds as women take their first steps in dynamic industry areas such as Polymer Processing Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering.
