Background information
Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education and Training Board in partnership with the North West and West Regional Skills Partnership are taking a proactive approach to help employers and employees upskill with the software development tech skills that they need. The courses will be delivered by Code Institute, an online coding college founded in Ireland and with learners from around the world. It takes a code-first approach with learners working in a developer environment and building their skills via a series of 5 projects which form their assessment. Every element of the full-stack from front-end development to databases and e-Commerece integration is covered. This gives learners and businesses the most in-demand skills on the market right now. The aim of the programmes is to give learners the tech skills to develop their careers and businesses the talent pipeline to scale or accelerate their digital transformation.
